Calypso Systems

Nomad Marketing created a comprehensive tradeshow marketing campaign showcasing the company’s technology and generating dozens of six-figure project leads.

Summary/Highlights

Calypso Systems provides unique classroom audio-visual integration technology. They wanted to make a major impact on attendees at the most important educational technology conferences in the US.

Calypso Systems asked Nomad Marketing to create a comprehensive tradeshow strategy to attract and educate conference visitors while showcasing their unique technologies. Nomad Marketing developed a 3-step strategy that included pre-event direct marketing, on-site interactive events and post-show online interactive games. The strategy generated hundreds of booth visitors and dozens of qualified sales leads.

Standing out in the crowd

With hundreds of exhibitors vying for the attention of conference-goers, Calypso faced a common challenge:  Visibility. Even with the most unique technologies on display, attracting visitors to a tradeshow exhibit is challenging. Calypso wanted to develop awareness before the event, make a splash on the show floor and make meaningful connections with attendees after they returned home.

Solving the classroom A/V puzzle

Calyspo Systems works with Educational IT administrators and users in school districts of all sizes. Emphasizing the complexity of classroom A/V and the puzzle-solving nature of Calypso’s technology, Nomad Marketing created an experience based on Sudoku puzzles.

  • Step 1 - direct mail highlighting Calypso’s technology and inviting recipients to participate in the Calypso Sudoku Speed Challenge.
  • Step 2 - the Sudoku Speed Challenge, featured booth visitors solving Sudoku puzzles displayed via Calypso’s classroom integration technology.  Participants received Calypso-branded Sudoku puzzle books and winners received other prizes.
  • Step 3 - a direct mail campaign and Personal URL (PURL) asking visitors to answer short qualifying questions and giving them access to a year of free Sudoku puzzles.

By The Numbers

  • More than 10,000 impressions
  • Nearly 500 documented booth visitors
  • 100+ PURL visitors
  • Nearly 50 qualified leads
